The maintenance of PH818T Penetrating PH Tester: 

The performance of an instrument, apart from its inherent structural quality, is closely linked to proper maintenance. This is especially true for instruments like pH meters that frequently come into contact with chemical substances. Therefore, proper and regular maintenance is essential to ensure their accuracy and reliability.

① The input end of the instrument (i.e., the composite electrode socket) must be kept highly clean. Avoid frequent disconnection of the electrode plug to prevent dust and high humidity from getting inside.

② The electrode tip of the composite electrode is very delicate; therefore, avoid contact with hard objects to prevent damage to the electrode.

③ Do not let the composite electrode tip come into contact with contaminants. If it becomes soiled, gently wipe the electrode tip with medical cotton, or clean it with a dilute solution of 0.1mol/L hydrochloric acid.

④ If the composite electrode tip shows cracks or aging (stored for over one year), it should be replaced with a new electrode. Otherwise, it may result in slow response or even significant measurement errors. Before using the new electrode, soak it in a 3mol/L potassium chloride solution for 24 hours.

⑤ When calibrating the instrument using a buffer solution, it is essential to ensure the reliability of the buffer solution. Buffer solutions can be prepared by yourself, and the preparation method for the solutions can be found in Appendix
