Analysis of the three main points of the detection principle and maintenance of combustible gas detectors

The combustible gas detector is used in the concentration detection of combustible gas and the alarm of concentration exceeding the standard. It can detect the concentration of combustible gas and display the real-time concentration value and standard signal output on the spot. It adopts imported sensors and has the characteristics of stable signal, high sensitivity and precision, and is flameproof. The wiring method is suitable for various dangerous places.

The principle of the detection part of the combustible gas detector is that the sensor of the instrument uses a detection element, a fixed resistor and a zero adjustment potentiometer to form a detection bridge. The bridge circuit uses platinum wire as the carrier catalytic element. After electrification, the temperature of the platinum wire rises to the working temperature, and the air reaches the surface of the element by natural diffusion or suction pump.

When there is no combustible gas in the air, the output of the bridge is zero. When the air contains combustible gas and diffuses to the detection element, flameless combustion occurs due to catalytic action, which makes the temperature of the detection element rise and the resistance of the platinum wire increases. , the bridge is out of balance, so there is a voltage signal output, the magnitude of this voltage is proportional to the concentration of combustible gas, the signal is amplified, converted from analog to digital, and the concentration value of combustible gas is displayed through the display panel.

There are three key points in the maintenance of combustible gas detectors:

1. Grasp the charging time of the detector
Even if you use a more professional one on the market, you should avoid one-time long-term charging in daily life, because too long charging time will consume the service life of the detector. In addition, it should be turned off when charging, otherwise the sensor of the detector may be affected by the charger, resulting in sudden alarms and gas detection errors in the future.

2. Keep the detector dry
Under normal circumstances, all products, including detectors with higher protection levels, should avoid contact with water sources, and keeping them dry is a key step to prolong their service life. This requires the user to use a dry rag when wiping to ensure that no moisture or water vapor enters the interior of the detector, effectively avoiding damage to the circuit of the detector and affecting the accuracy of the alarm.

3. Prevent the detector from being hit or dropped
If the user no longer uses it, it must be placed in a safe location, and a reasonable location should also be selected when testing in a special place, and then the testing work will be carried out as usual. This can effectively prevent frequent impacts or drops, thereby ensuring that the measurement accuracy of the detector will not be affected by external impacts.
