Clamp Meter for Measuring AC and DC
This clamp meter is an electromagnetic meter and has no secondary windings. The measured current-carrying wire placed in the jaw serves as the excitation winding, and the magnetic flux forms a loop in the iron core. The electromagnetic measuring mechanism is located in the middle of the gap in the iron core, and is deflected by the magnetic field to obtain the reading.
