If the indicator light in the small window in the middle of the test pen emits a red light, it indicates that the wire or contact being touched is a 220V live wire. If it does not light up, there are three situations:
① It may be the zero line.
② It may be a live wire but there is no power supply.
③ It may be a live wire but it has been disconnected.

It should be said that the electronic one is relatively old. But electrical testing is more accurate, and the influence of induced electricity is relatively small. Especially in power plants, due to the large amount of induced electricity, the advantage of using neon tubes as test pens becomes apparent. It is important to remove gloves when using electricity. Hold the metal part of the test pen cap with your hand. It is best to hold the other hand against the wall, and at this time, move the testing pen towards the core of the charged wire. If the pen lights up, it indicates that the wire is charged. Electronic test pens generally have two functions. One is to measure whether the wire is charged, and the other is to measure induced electricity. When measuring whether the wire is charged, remove the gloves and hold the measuring cap of the testing pen with your hand. Place the metal head of the electric pen on the wire core, touch the wall with the other hand, and the LCD screen will display the voltage level you have measured. If it is a measuring rod that is energized, press your hand on the measuring cap of the Yandian sensor. The palladium metal head is placed on the outer skin of the wire, with the other hand supporting the wall. The test pen will display the magnitude of the induced electricity. But one thing must be remembered, whether it is a tube test pen or an electronic test pen. They are all used for measuring low voltage electricity. Never measure high voltage.
