4 Calibration Methods for Wood Moisture Meter
①Wood preparation: Take ten varieties of wood to be tested.
②According to the instrument used, refer to the instructions of the corresponding type of wood moisture tester, and measure the moisture of various woods according to the regulations.
③ Fill in the measured data into the instrument moisture column in the moisture detector calibration table.
④Divide each tested wood into two parts, and use the balance oven method to measure the moisture content.
How to operate the pin moisture detector
1. Gear setting method: first press the gear setting button (SPECIES), and then press the test button (TEST). At this time, the current gear value is displayed. Press the setting button continuously to change the gear continuously until needed. stalls.
2. Check before measurement: Set to level 5 according to the above method, then pull out the cap of the instrument, touch the probe on the instrument to the two contacts on the cap, press the test key, if the display is 18±1, it means The instrument is normal.
3 Measurement: Insert the probe on the instrument into the wood specimen to be measured. Press the test button, the value displayed by the instrument is the average moisture content of the specimen, when the moisture content of the specimen is less than 3, it will display 3.0, and when the moisture content of the specimen is greater than 40, it will display 40, which means it has exceeded the range.
Precautions for wood moisture meter:
1. When using the instrument for the first time, you can change the gear measurement according to the empirical range value of wood moisture, which gear has the smallest error, and the subsequent measurement will be in this gear.
2. If the wood moisture to be measured is unknown, the gear can be determined as follows:
First take a wood sample with relatively average moisture content, measure the moisture content with the instrument at levels 1-7, and record the measured values of each level. Then the samples were sent into the oven, and the moisture content was determined by the oven drying method. Then compare it with the average value of 7 groups, which gear has the closest value, and then fix it at this gear. If the above measurement is unconditional, it is usually recommended to perform the measurement on the 5th gear. However, attention should be paid to the measurement error caused by this.
