(2) Installation of objective lens: When installing the objective lens in a polarizing microscope, the lens barrel should be raised to a certain height to avoid damaging the lens. Hold the objective lens with your right hand and press the spring card on the lens barrel with your left hand. Place the positioning pin on the objective lens into the positioning slot of the spring card. Pay attention to proper placement, otherwise it cannot be observed.

In practice, after the microscope is assembled, the center axis of the eyepiece and the stage are fixed, and only the objective lens needs to be frequently removed and installed. The central axis of the objective lens is prone to deviation, and generally only the position of the central axis of the objective lens needs to be corrected. The calibration of the objective lens is carried out using screws that are perpendicular to each other in two directions.
