Applications and Functions of Metallographic Microscopes
Metallographic microscope is a specialized instrument used to observe the metallographic structure of opaque objects such as metals and minerals. These opaque objects cannot be observed in a regular transmission light microscope, so the main difference between gold and a regular microscope is that the former is illuminated by reflected light, while the latter is illuminated by transmitted light. Metallographic microscopes have the characteristics of good stability, clear imaging, high resolution, and a large and flat field of view. It has measurement mode and comparison mode, and can be equipped with metallographic analysis software for metallographic analysis. The main uses of metallographic analysis software are as follows:
1. Drawing - It is easy to observe metallographic images on a computer monitor and analyze, grade, etc. metallographic diagrams. Combined with an optical imaging measurement system, high-precision optical measurement of workpieces can be carried out, and data analysis can be output in EXCEL, WORD, TXT formats. DFX format can also be used for engineering drawing design in CAD.
2. Measurement - can measure the dimensions of any geometric shape on a plane (angle, length, diameter, radius, distance from point to line, eccentricity of circle, distance between two circles, etc.)
3. Annotation - Various geometric dimensions can be annotated on actual workpieces in real-time images.
4. Photography - can take physical photos, including the dimensions marked.
5. Graphic output to AutoCAD - can output the actual shape of the workpiece depicted in real-time images to AutoCAD as a standard engineering drawing.
6. JPEG image input: JPEG images captured in advance can be compared with workpieces in real-time images.
7. Output to AutoCAD for automatic alignment: You can set benchmarks for the graphics depicted based on the actual shape of the workpiece in real-time images according to actual needs and align the graphics during transmission
8. Standard engineering drawing input in AutoCAD: Standard engineering drawings in AutoCAD can be directly input into real-time images and overlapped with actual workpieces for comparison, in order to identify the differences between workpieces and engineering drawings.
9. Bird's-eye view: It can observe the entire shape of the workpiece and has a zoom function similar to AutoCAD.
10. Annotate in bird's-eye view: You can annotate dimensions in the entire bird's-eye view.
11. Directly enter circles and line segments: Standard circles or lines can be entered as needed (customers can define the size, length, and coordinate position of circles and lines themselves). Then compare the standard circles, lines, and physical objects in the image to find the error of the workpiece.
12. Inputting lines in polar coordinates: Standard line segments can be inputted in polar coordinates according to customer needs.
13. Self set customer coordinates: You can set the coordinate origin (0,0) on the real-time image according to the customer's own needs.
14. Coordinate annotation: Using the coordinate origin (0,0) set by oneself as the reference, annotate the coordinate position of any point in the real-time image.
15. Capture Intersection Point: It can automatically capture the intersection point of two lines.
