Basic information about DC regulated power supply
Electronic equipment that provides stable DC power to loads. The power supply of DC stabilized power supply is basically AC power supply. The regulator's DC output voltage remains stable when the AC supply voltage or load resistance changes. Of course, as electronic equipment develops towards high precision and high stability, DC stable power supplies have put forward higher requirements for the power supply of electronic equipment.
1. The output voltage value can be set arbitrarily below the rated output voltage value and it will work normally.
2. The stable current value of the output current can be set arbitrarily below the rated output current value and it can work normally.
3. The stable voltage and stable current status of the DC regulated power supply can be automatically switched and have corresponding status indications.
4. The output voltage and current values need to be accurately displayed and identified.
5. For DC regulated power supplies with precise output voltage and current values, multi-turn potentiometers and voltage and current trimmer potentiometers or direct digital inputs are usually used.
6. There should be a perfect protection circuit. When short circuit or abnormal working conditions occur at the output end, the DC stable power supply should not be damaged. After the abnormal working conditions are eliminated, it can work normally immediately.
DC stabilized power supply usage process
1) Turn on the power supply. Just connect the regulated power supply to the circuit.
(2) Turn on the power supply. In the case of no-load connection, press the main power switch, and then turn on the DC output switch of the power supply to make the power supply work normally (some simple adjustable regulated power supplies only have a main power switch and no independent DC output switch). At this time, the current operating voltage and output current are displayed on the power digital indicator.
(3) By adjusting the voltage setting knob, the digital voltmeter can display the target voltage and complete the voltage setting. For power supplies with adjustable current limiting, there are two sets of regulation systems that regulate voltage and current respectively. When adjusting, the distinction should be made clearly. And pay attention to the word "VOLTAGE" on the voltage potentiometer. The potentiometer for current adjustment usually has the word "CURRENT".
(4) Current setting: Press and hold "Limit" on the power strip for a while. The ammeter will display the current value. Control the current by adjusting the current knob. Usually
Press and hold the "Limit" button on the power panel. At this time, the ammeter will display the current value. Adjust the current knob to make the current value reach the predetermined level. Generally, the current limit can be set on the 120 power supply with the highest current. There is no special adjustment key for limited current. The user needs to short-circuit the output according to the instructions, and then set the current limit level according to the short-circuit current and the current limit knob. The simple adjustable voltage-stabilized power supply does not have a current setting function or a corresponding knob.
(5) Overvoltage protection OVP setting. Overvoltage setting refers to further limiting the upper limit voltage within the adjustable voltage range of the power supply itself to prevent the power supply from outputting excessive voltage during misoperation.
Overvoltage setting refers to further limiting an upper limit voltage within the adjustable voltage range of the power supply itself to prevent the power supply from outputting excessive voltage during misoperation. When setting the OVP voltage, first adjust the power supply operating voltage to the target overvoltage point, and then slowly adjust the OVP potentiometer to make the power supply protection just act. At this time, the OVP has been decided. Then, turn off the power, reduce the operating voltage, and you can work normally.
(6) Communication interface parameter setting and remote control operation setting. For local control (panel operation) applications, remote control operation should be turned off. The communication interface should be set according to the communication requirements, but not the local application.
