Biological microscope maintenance and common troubleshooting
Biological microscope is a precision optical instrument commonly used in biology teaching experiments, which is composed of two parts: mechanical system and optical system.
The mechanical system includes: the transmission part of the lens barrel, the rotation part of the objective lens, the conversion part of the carrier table, the pressure film clamp and the light shield, the rotation part of the mirror frame and the base, and so on.
Optical system includes: eyepiece, objective lens, focusing lens and reflector.
1, Maintenance and upkeep
(1) Overall maintenance: the biological microscope should be placed in a dry and cool, dust-free, non-corrosive place. After use, it should be wiped clean immediately and covered with a dustproof breathable cover or placed in a case.
(2) Maintenance of the mechanical system: after use, wipe it with a clean fine cloth and apply some neutral grease on the sliding parts regularly. If there is serious pollution, you can use petrol to wash and then wipe dry. But do not use alcohol or ether to clean, because these reagents will corrode the machinery and paint, causing damage.
(3) Maintenance of the optical system: after use, gently wipe the lenses of the eyepieces and objective lenses with a clean, soft silk cloth. When there is a stain that can not be wiped off, use long-fibre degreasing cotton or clean fine cotton cloth dipped in a little dimethyl stupid or lens cleaning solution (3 parts alcohol: 1 part ether) wipe. Then wipe dry with a clean, fine, soft cloth or blow dry with a blow-drying ball can be. It should be noted that the cleaning solution must not penetrate into the interior of the objective lens, otherwise it will damage the objective lens. Concentrator (XSP-13A, 16A type only) and reflector after use as long as wipe clean.
