burns from an electric soldering iron were treated

The so-called electric soldering iron burns to death means that the soldering iron cannot be attached to the tin, because the temperature of the soldering iron tip is too high and the surface is severely oxidized. There are generally two ways to prevent the occurrence of burns:

1. Intermittent power supply: In the process of soldering, once the soldering iron temperature reaches, the power supply can be cut off to prevent overheating and oxidation.

2. Cooling method: use a cooling stand.

Disposal after burning

1. Use a knife to hang off the oxide layer on the surface.

2. Put the oxidized copper tip into a container filled with ethanol (1-2min), because after the copper oxide and ethanol are heated to produce a chemical reaction, copper is reduced again, and ethanol has no corrosive effect on the soldering iron tip.
