Calibration intervals for paint thickness gauges
Paint film thickness gauges are widely used in production inspection, quality control and quality supervision and inspection in manufacturing, metal processing and chemical industries. As the requirements for the measurement and control of the thickness of coatings formed by surface protection and decoration of industrial products continue to increase, the development of measurement technologies and instruments for the thickness of these coatings, such as coatings, coatings, coatings, laminates, chemically formed films, etc. Also accelerating, the measurement of paint film thickness has become an important part of the surface engineering quality control testing of industrial products.
The paint film thickness gauge is valid for one year after being verified by the national metrology department, but the paint film thickness gauge is different from many length measuring instruments. Most length measuring instruments can be used directly after being calibrated and do not need to be calibrated at any time. However, the paint film thickness gauge is affected by the substrate material, roughness and other factors. In actual use, it is necessary to calibrate before each use. If you do not do this, the measurement results will be different after long-term use. 3-10% error. If the measurement value is relatively large, it will not be obvious. If the measurement value is small, the problem will arise. For example, the thickness of the customer's product spraying is 60um (assuming the actual value is also 60um), and our measurement value is 40um, in this case, the error becomes 20um. The measurement result deviates greatly from the actual value, and the error exceeds the allowable range.
Thickness gauge operating procedures
1. Open the package, place the aluminum thin ring in the box on the copper step on the table below the thickness gauge, and place it horizontally.
2. Before testing, align the zero position of the meter and move the joystick several times to return to zero before testing again. During operation, be careful to lift and release the meter to avoid damaging the platform, measuring foot and instrument.
3. Press the operating lever with your finger to raise the measuring head, place the object to be measured between the workbench and the measuring feet, and control the lever easily. The reading of the meter at this time is the thickness of the object to be measured.
4. After using the thickness gauge, put it into the instrument box and place it in a dry place to prevent moisture.
5. This instrument cannot be used for horizontal measurement.
