Characteristics and Applications of Laser Rangefinders
A rangefinder is a tool for measuring length or distance, and can be combined with angle measuring equipment or modules to measure parameters such as angle and area. There are many forms of rangefinders, usually an elongated cylinder consisting of an objective lens, eyepiece, display device (which can be built-in), battery, and other components.
The accuracy of laser rangefinders mainly depends on the calculation accuracy of the time between laser emission and reception. According to the technology and application scenarios used, laser rangefinders can be divided into conventional laser rangefinders with an accuracy of about 1 meter (mainly used for outdoor sports, hunting, etc.) and high-precision laser rangefinders used for surveying, land measurement, construction, engineering applications, military and other high-precision applications.
Laser ranging is a distance measurement method in light wave ranging, generally using two methods to measure distance: pulse method and phase method.

Attention should be paid when using a laser rangefinder: The laser rangefinder cannot be aimed at the human eye for direct measurement to prevent harm to the human body. Meanwhile, laser rangefinders generally do not have waterproof function, so it is necessary to pay attention to waterproofing.
