Characteristics of high-power DC power supply
A high-power DC power supply has two electrodes, positive and negative. The positive electrode has a high potential and the negative electrode has a low potential. When the two electrodes are connected to the circuit, they can maintain a constant potential difference between the two ends of the circuit, thereby forming a current from the positive electrode to the negative electrode in the external circuit.
Characteristics of high-power DC power supply
1. The circuit is simple, easy to adjust, easy to increase output power, and has low cost.
2. Low energy consumption, high efficiency, small size, and light weight.
3. The output voltage is continuously adjustable.
4. Has a considerable output power.
6. Stable current.
7. Short circuit at the output end, with self-protection function.
The principle of high-power DC power supply
It is possible to use non electrostatic forces (referred to as "non electrostatic forces") to cause positive charges to return from the lower potential negative electrode through the interior to the higher potential positive electrode, in order to maintain the potential difference between the two electrodes and form a stable current. Therefore, it is an energy conversion device that converts other forms of energy into electrical energy to supply the circuit, in order to maintain a stable flow of current.
The composition of high-power DC power supply
1. Power transformer: Change the AC grid voltage u1 to a suitable AC voltage u2.
2. Rectification circuit: Transforms the AC voltage u2 into a pulsating DC voltage u3.
3. Filter circuit: Transforms the pulsating DC voltage u3 into a smooth DC voltage u4.
4. Voltage stabilizing circuit: to eliminate the influence of power grid fluctuations and load changes, and maintain the stability of output voltage uo.
The application of high-power DC power supply
The high-power DC power supply system is suitable for large power plants, hydropower plants, ultra-high voltage substations, and unmanned substations as the DC power supply for control, signal, protection, automatic reclosing operation, accident lighting, DC oil pumps, opening and closing of various DC operating mechanisms, secondary circuit instruments, and control of AC uninterrupted power supply for automation devices.
