Check the static ground wire with a multimeter

 

A grounding resistance tester is required, but a multimeter cannot test it because the multimeter cannot provide sufficient current and reference ground terminal.


Detection method for electrostatic grounding
A. The detection of 0.1 electrostatic grounding should be carried out under the condition that the tested object is not charged. The tested objects include grounding systems, non-metallic materials, anti-static products, etc. in the equipment.


A. 0.2 Equipment grounding measurement shall comply with the following regulations:


The contact resistance and cross resistance between the metal components of the equipment and between the equipment and the dedicated grounding electrode can be measured using a regular multimeter;


The grounding resistance of the equipment, including the contact resistance between the grounding level and the soil, as well as the soil dispersion resistance, can be measured using the ZC series grounding shaker. The distance between the grounding plate and the current electrode should be 40m, and the distance between the voltage electrode and the current electrode should be 20m.


The resistance measurement regulations for non-metallic components in equipment (such as non-metallic parts used for grounding, insulation flanges, etc.) are as follows: when the resistance is less than 1M Ω, a regular multimeter or high resistance meter can be used for measurement; When the resistance is greater than or equal to 1M Ω, a high resistance meter or megohmmeter above 500V can be used for measurement.


A. The measurement of conductivity of non-metallic materials should comply with the following regulations:
1. Volume resistivity and surface resistivity of boards, films, etc. a When the volume resistivity is greater than or equal to 106 Ω/1/7m, according to the "Test Methods for Solid Electrical Insulation Resistance, Volume Resistance Coefficient, and Surface Resistance Coefficient" GB1410-78, the measuring instrument can use high resistance meters such as ZC36 and ZC43. Sample size: Square 100 × 100 (mm) or circular with a diameter of 100mm. b. When the volume resistivity is less than 106 Ω/1/7m, the measurement shall be carried out according to the method for determining the resistivity (coefficient) of conductive and anti-static rubber GB2439-81, where the input impedance of the electrostatic meter and ammeter is greater than 1012 Ω. Sample size: length 70~150mm, width 10~150mm.


2. Fiber leakage resistance, measured according to the "Fiber Leakage Resistance Test Method" FJ551-85, with a sample size of 2 ± 0.1g. The testing instrument adopts a fiber leakage resistance tester based on RC charging and discharging principle.


3. The electrical conductivity of light petroleum products shall be measured according to the "Determination of Electrical Conductivity of Light Petroleum Products" GB6539-86. The sample oil is greater than 1L, and the measuring instrument is an oil conductivity tester.
