The spirit level is the most basic inspection tool in machine tool manufacturing, installation and repair.


The spirit level is a commonly used instrument for measuring the straightness of the guide rail of the machine tool. It is used to check the straightness of the guide rail in the vertical plane and the straightness in the horizontal plane. Before using a spirit level to adjust the straightness of the guide rail, the level of the overall guide rail should be adjusted first. Place the spirit level at the middle and both ends of the guide rail, and adjust to the horizontal state of the guide rail, so that the air bubbles of the level meter can be kept within the scale range in all parts. The guide rail straightness error (curve diagram) has no actual basis in the teaching materials, and it is very inconvenient and inaccurate to apply on the production site. It misleads people's recognition ability, cannot be applied in actual work, and often creates an illusion for staff. Check the straightness error of the guide rail according to this, but the correct accuracy value cannot be obtained.


The calculation method of the straightness error value of the guide rail is relatively simple and convenient, and the error accuracy is accurate, which is suitable for the operation and application of the on-site staff. The moving distance mentioned in the book is not practical enough as a calculation data, and it cannot represent any calculation size. The moving distance refers to the segment of the full length when measuring the guide rail of the machine tool. The moving distance is not equal to the length of the pad iron. It cannot be used as the data in the calculation. The length of the shim iron should be used when measuring the machine tool guide rail. On the full-length guide rail Carry out segmental movement, use pad iron when adjusting the guide rail of the machine tool, and use shorter shim iron when adjusting the straightness error value of the guide rail, and the measured value is more accurate. The length of the shim used is different, and the measured value and shape are also different. The formula proved in the above example is used to calculate the straightness error value of the working length of the guide rail of the machine tool, which refers to the total length of the guide rail of the machine tool minus the length of the horn.
