Classification of pH meters and acidity meters
According to the needs of production and life, people have scientifically studied and produced many models of pH meters and acidity meters:
1. According to measurement accuracy, it can be divided into 0.2 level pH meter, 0.1 level pH meter, acidity meter, 0.01 level pH meter, acidity meter or higher precision pH meter, acidity meter
2. According to the volume of the instrument, there are pen type pH meters, acidity meters (mini pH meters, acidity meters), portable pH meters, acid-base meters, and desktop pH meters,
3. Online pH meter and acidity meter with continuous monitoring and measurement.
4. According to the requirements for use: pen type pH meter, acidity meter (mini pH meter), and portable pH meter. Acidity meter is usually brought to the site for testing by the testing personnel.
5. Choose a pH meter. The accuracy level of the acidity meter is determined based on the accuracy required by the user for measurement, and then choose pH meters of various shapes for user convenience.
Storage and maintenance methods for pH meter electrodes
The electrode of pH meter (acidity meter) should be stored as follows:
Please store the electrode in a 3mol/L potassium chloride solution (3M KCl) when not in use; Can be stored in pH 7.00 buffer for a short period of time. Drying or soaking the pH meter electrode in distilled water for a long time will shorten its service life.
PH meter (acidity meter) electrode maintenance method:
If the slope of the pH meter electrode decreases or the response speed slows down after a period of use, the following methods can be tried.
1. If the measured sample contains protein, the electrode membrane can be cleaned with gastric protease/hydrochloric acid wash (ME51340068).
2. If the measured sample is oily/organic liquid, it can be rinsed with acetone or ethanol.
3. If the pH meter (acidity meter) electrode liquid complex becomes dirty and black, the complex can be cleaned with thiol cleaning solution (ME5134070).
4. Activate the electrode membrane.
