DC switching power supply protection requirements
1. Limit the switching transistors used in switching regulators to work within the DC safe working area.
2. Limit the output of the switching regulator within the given technical specifications.
3. After the protection mode of the switching DC power supply is determined from the above two points, the alarm measures are determined according to the needs of the power supply device. Generally, there are two kinds of alarm measures: sound alarm and light alarm.
4. After the protection circuit is added to the DC power supply, the reliability of the system will be affected. Therefore, the reliability of the protection circuit itself is required to be high, so as to improve the reliability of the entire power supply system, thereby improving the MTBF of the power supply itself.
5. The user must comprehensively and systematically consider various protection measures of the switching power supply during the operation process to ensure the normal operation and high efficiency and high reliability of the switching power supply.
6. Users must pay attention to the fact that switching DC power transistors and integrated devices have poor ability to withstand electrical and thermal shocks, so the protection of switching power supply modules should take into account the safety of itself and the load.
