Digital Multimeter to measure the quality of thermostat
Thermostats are divided into two types: heat-control thermostats and cold-control thermostats. The measurement methods after removal are as follows:
1. Measure the (heat control) thermostat for household bath water heaters: adjust the multimeter to the resistance gear, measure the two plugs of the thermostat, rotate the thermostat to close the contacts, the multimeter indicates that it is connected, and turn the temperature control probe on. Insert it into boiling water (or bake it with a lighter), hear the thermostat click and the contacts are disconnected, and the multimeter shows disconnection, which proves that the thermostat is good.

2. Use the above method to measure the (cold control) thermostat of the freezer: manually adjust and reverse the thermostat to the minimum, measure the two plugs of the thermostat at room temperature, it should be connected, and put the thermostat into the freezer compartment of the refrigerator Freeze for about 10 minutes (or use a fluorine bottle to quickly spray fluorine to the temperature sensing head), the thermostat contacts should be disconnected with a click, and the multimeter also shows that it is disconnected, and the temperature control is good.
Note: Take care in actual operation so as not to damage other parts.
