Discussion on the Necessity of Anti-interference of Infrared Thermometer

During the use of infrared thermometers, there will be some interference to varying degrees. The degree of interference varies from application to application. This situation has brought a lot of trouble to the application in various fields. Therefore, the anti-interference measures for infrared thermometers and the solution to the interference problem in the case of serious interference are another key topic besides design and development.

In the face of interference, sometimes people have no way to start, or even think that the cause of the problem is the interference. Therefore, when the infrared thermometer fails in some occasions with strong electromagnetic waves, after excluding the cause of the instrument itself, the first reason to consider is the problem of electromagnetic interference. There was once a case: a steel forging customer reported that one of the 9 thermometers provided by our company had failed shortly after using it. The customer could not analyze the cause by himself, and finally returned the infrared thermometer to the factory for repair. After the instrument was returned to the factory, everything was tested by the technical after-sales department, and the thermometer was sent back to the customer. After the customer installed the test, the fault remained. It was estimated that it might be caused by interference from the customer's site through telephone communication. The company sent technicians to deal with it on site. The inspection found that the induced voltage of the thermometer shell is as high as 20V, and the induced voltage on the iron material of other equipment is also more than 20 volts. There are high-voltage and high-frequency equipment around. It is estimated that the source of interference is that the thermometer has received other For the huge source of interference from the equipment, the technicians decisively took the way of isolating the transmission of interference between the infrared thermometer and other equipment--installing a rubber pad between the infrared thermometer and the mounting bracket, and disconnecting the circuit board from the electrical enclosure. Connect, after installation, start up and test everything is OK, so far the fault is eliminated. Other thermometers that did not fail did the same. Everything is working fine so far.

It can be seen from this that external interference has a huge impact on the infrared thermometer, sometimes not only the impact on the data during the use of the instrument, but even serious damage to the instrument.
