Examining the causes of the fuzziness of the margins in microscope imaging

The main optical components of microscope imaging, such as lenses, apertures, observation tubes, and lenses, are all circular in design. Optical distortions due to assembly and design can cause image edges to blur. If only the image edge of the interface of the microscope is blurred, it is mainly caused by the optical mismatch between the C-mount and the camera adapter and the microscope or design defects.

How to obtain high-definition microscopic images with ordinary civilian cameras, and how to obtain microscopic images with ordinary digital cameras, a special camera adapter is essential. A good camera adapter needs to have one feature, high transmittance, flat field compensation, low dispersion, the internal lens must have high coaxiality, and the imaging size and distance must be accurate. Generally, when purchasing, consumers need to consider the following issues:
1. Is there flat field compensation?
2. Dispersion situation;
3. Imaging target surface;
4. Is the distance accurate?

The main reasons for black edges and blurred edges in the photomicrographing process are as follows:
1. The microscope and camera are out of sync, you can adjust the fine-tuning knob to clear;
2. The field diaphragm of the microscope is too small;
3. The aperture diaphragm of the microscope is too large;
4. The C interface does not match the size of the target surface of the digital camera;
5. The field of view of the microscope is too small;
6. The microscope condenser is eccentric.

Generally speaking, choosing a professional microscopic imaging camera can avoid the imaging effect of blurred edges to a greater extent.

Precautions:
1. It is strictly forbidden to extract the microscope with one hand.

2. If it is necessary to move the microscope, be sure to lift the microscope and put it in an appropriate position. It is strictly forbidden to push the microscope (the vibration caused by the push may cause the internal parts of the microscope to loosen, remember!!), please handle the microscope with care.

3. When using a microscope, the height of the chair should be appropriate. When observing, you should be used to observing with both eyes at the same time, and the aperture and brightness of the light source should be appropriate. Otherwise, you will easily feel tired when observing for a long time.

4. Be sure to lower the stage to the lowest point when turning the rotating disk, so as not to scratch the lens of the eyepiece due to improper operation.

5. The slide should be removed for specimen staining or any other operation, and then put back on the stage for observation after the operation is completed. Do not operate on the stage to prevent dye or other liquids from flowing into the microscope or damaging the lens.

6. After observing one material, when you want to change another material, be sure to lower the stage to the lowest point, and then refocus according to the standard procedure after changing the glass slide. Do not directly replace the specimen to avoid scratching the lens or slide specimens.

7. After using the microscope, the stage should be lowered to the lowest point, and the low-magnification lens should be aligned with the round hole in the center of the stage. The power cord should be rolled up, covered with a dust cover, and stored in a storage cabinet.
