Explanation of the five major reasons that affect the measurement accuracy of infrared thermometers
1. High temperature environment
This kind of environment is easy to melt the coating material of the infrared thermometer, melt the solder joints, change the internal stress structure of the elastic body, and so on. In this environment, a high temperature resistant infrared thermometer should be selected;
Preferably, devices such as heat insulation, water cooling or air cooling should be added.
2. Corrosive environment
If the infrared thermometer works in a corrosive environment, it is easy to cause damage to the shell, damage the inner elastic body, and even cause a short circuit. Therefore, it should be selected with good corrosion resistance and airtight temperature.
Good infrared thermometer. Generally choose a product with a stainless steel cover or an anti-corrosion treatment on the surface.
3. Strong electromagnetic field interference
The strong electromagnetic field environment will cause the output signal of the infrared thermometer to be distorted and fluctuate in a large range. It should be shielded until it has good anti-electromagnetic interference capabilities.
4. Dust and humid environment
In such an environment, an infrared thermometer with a high airtightness should be selected, otherwise it will easily cause a short circuit of the infrared thermometer. You can refer to the IP protection grade of the infrared thermometer to select the corresponding product.
Moreover, different infrared thermometers have different sealing methods, and the airtightness must be very different. Commonly used sealing methods are effective sealant filling or coating; rubber pad machine fastening and sealing; welding and vacuum pumping and nitrogen filling for sealing. Among these sealing methods, the welding sealing performance is the best, followed by the rubber pad machine fastening and sealing, and the filling and coating sealant is the worst. For places that generally require less strict sealing, you can choose a glue-coated and sealed infrared thermometer, and for some infrared thermometers that work in humid and dusty environments, the sealing method should be selected through Products that are heat-sealed or welded, vacuum-filled and nitrogen-filled.
Five, flammable and explosive environment
Improper selection of infrared thermometers in flammable and explosive environments will permanently damage them, and the inaccurate signals they output will be sent to the control system, resulting in misuse and even threats to other working equipment and personal safety. Therefore, in order to carefully choose an infrared thermometer for working in this environment, explosion-proof performance must be used. It is not only necessary to have airtight
Sex, but also take into account the explosion-proof strength. Its cable outlets also need to meet such requirements.
