This type of instrument is widely used in industry. It is installed at a fixed position to detect leaked toxic gases. Generally designed as a two-part unit installed separately at the detection site and a safe area, it facilitates continuous monitoring with stable performance. However, it is not universal. Selection shall be based on gas type and concentration. The installation position requires careful planning, and the sensor mounting height shall be determined near potential leakage points.

Portable detectors feature compact size and easy operation and can be carried to various sites. The CO sensor is integrated into the probe, and the sampling wand can measure humidity, temperature and other parameters.

The selection depends on whether the working site is a confined space or an open area.
