Features and usage of Fluke1630 ground loop resistance test clamp meter

Fluke 1630 adopts clamp grounding resistance testing technology, greatly simplifying the grounding circuit testing process and allowing non-invasive leakage current measurement. The Fluke 1630 is compact, exquisite, and durable, making it perfect for use in narrow spaces and harsh environments. Its "display hold, continuous testing, and sound alarm functions make it very easy to use." It uses innovative technology, which means that ground circuit resistance testing and continuous testing can be completed without cutting off the circuit.

Non auxiliary pole testing method:
The Fluke 1630 adopts a non auxiliary electrode testing method, which does not require disconnecting the parallel grounding electrode or finding a suitable position to place the auxiliary grounding rod. This greatly saves time and allows users (such as industrial and engineering electrical technicians, as well as on-site maintenance electricians and contractors) to perform grounding circuit resistance testing in locations where other technologies cannot be used (including inside buildings or on power towers). Adopting the non auxiliary pole testing method eliminates the need for a grounding rod. The Fluke1630 grounding loop resistance test clamp is clamped around the grounding rod or connecting cable. Half of the tester is used to sense known voltage, and the other half is used to measure current. The tester can automatically determine the grounding circuit resistance of this grounding connection.
