Features of Handheld Infrared Thermometer

1. Convenient.
Infrared thermometers provide quick temperature measurements, and in the time it takes to read one leaky junction with a thermocouple, nearly all junctions can be read with an infrared thermometer. In addition, because the infrared thermometer is solid and lightweight, it is easy to put in the leather case when not in use. It can be carried during factory inspections and daily inspection work.

2. Higher temperature measurement repeatability.

3. More durable, drop-resistant and impact-resistant.

4. The impact of lower ambient temperature changes.

5. Less interference from scattering sources.

6. It is more suitable for measurement in harsh environments.

The temperature measurement of the handheld infrared thermometer is based on Planck's radiation law. By measuring the infrared radiation energy of the measured target and calibrated by the black body, it can be determined that the measured target is stable.

The infrared thermometer has the characteristics of non-contact measurement, fast response speed, and does not disturb the temperature distribution field of the measured target.

For the temperature measurement of some targets that cannot be measured by contact, moving targets, and targets whose temperature changes rapidly, infrared thermometers have their unique effects.

It provides a new measurement method for the development of modern temperature measurement technology. Compared with traditional temperature measurement equipment, infrared thermometer has the advantages of convenience, safety and safety.

All objects with a temperature higher than the minimum temperature are constantly emitting infrared radiation energy to the surrounding space. The size of the infrared radiation energy of an object and its distribution according to the wavelength have a very close relationship with its surface temperature.

Therefore, by measuring the infrared energy radiated by the object itself, its surface temperature can be accurately determined, which is the objective basis for infrared radiation temperature measurement.

The infrared thermometer is composed of optical system, photoelectric detector, signal amplifier, signal processing, display output and other parts. The optical system gathers the target infrared radiation energy in its field of view, and the size of the field of view is determined by the optical parts of the thermometer and its position.

Infrared energy is focused on a photodetector and converted into a corresponding electrical signal. The signal passes through the amplifier and signal processing circuit, and is converted into the temperature value of the measured target after being corrected according to the algorithm of the internal treatment of the instrument and the emissivity of the target.
