There are generally four scale lines on the head of the analog multimeter, which represent the readings of resistance, voltage/current and level respectively.
The calibration of each gear of the ohmmeter is carried out based on the respective center resistance values. Therefore, when measuring resistance, the pointer should be displayed near the center of the scale as much as possible to reduce errors. The calibration of each file of the ammeter and voltmeter is carried out based on the respective full-scale values. Therefore, when measuring, the indicated value of the pointer should be as close to the full-scale value as possible to reduce the error.
The measurement of the level is actually realized by the measurement of the AC voltage. Therefore, although the level is defined by taking the logarithm of the power ratio, it can be transformed into a voltage measurement. Since the zero power level is the level when the lmW power is obtained on the 600W load, the voltage on the load at the zero power level is the zero level voltage.
The decibel scale on the dial corresponds to the lowest level of AC voltage (10V level).
