Gas detector what are the use of misunderstanding, what are the precautions

Gas detector is a gas leakage concentration detection instrumentation tools, including: portable gas detector, handheld gas detector, fixed gas detector, on-line gas detector, etc., the main use of gas sensors to detect the presence of gas species in the environment, the gas sensor is used to detect the composition and content of the gas sensor. In the use of the process, due to the gas detector can not be used or damaged because of the quality factor is only a part of the selection of ordinary manufacturers, most of which is due to improper selection and improper use. So do you know what are the gas detector use mistakes?

Gas detector use error:
Acceptance error: using high concentration of gas for testing: customers in the field after the installation of combustible gas detector, the use of lighters to test whether the detector is working properly. After the ventilation test, the detector alarmed but could not be reset to zero. Normal use, detected that the sensor is damaged, all returned to the factory to pay for the replacement cost.

ANALYSIS: Many customers like to use high concentration of gas for testing during acceptance. This method is very inaccurate and can easily cause damage to the instrument. The detection range of the combustible gas detector is 0~100% LEL, with a low lower explosive limit (0~5% vol for methane), and the lighter gas is high-purity butane, which is far beyond the detection range.

Test Error: When testing with lighter gases, the sensor will be subjected to 2 to 3 or more shocks and the chemical activity of the sensing element will decay or deactivate prematurely, resulting in reduced detection. The platinum wire is burnt out and the sensor is scrapped. It should be noted that the manufacturer cannot guarantee sensor failures caused by high concentration gas shocks and will need to be replaced at their own expense.

Analysis: Most combustible gas detectors on the market use the principle of catalytic combustion. The principle of catalytic combustion is the use of catalytic energy to produce a low-temperature flameless combustion on a catalytic element, where the heat of combustion raises the temperature of the element.
