Gauge for Coating Thickness Measurement Technique for Temperature Compensation

 

The temperature compensation measurement method of the coating thickness gauge includes the temperature coefficient calibration step, the startup zero calibration step and the thickness measurement work step, and finally calculates the value of the actual coating thickness dx; using the correlation between the electromagnetic field change of the inductor coil and the temperature, that is, in The value at the infinity end is measured once during the measurement process, and the temperature change coefficient at the infinity end is proportional to the temperature change coefficient when the measuring probe is close to the measured object substrate for measurement. Using this feature to realize temperature compensation can reduce the temperature measurement error as much as possible. The measurement error of this method can basically be controlled within 1%, while our current national standard requires within 3%. By comparison, the measurement error of this method can be controlled within 1%. The measurement accuracy has reached the measurement accuracy of international brand machines, and it is still at a very high level in China.


How to use a digital coating thickness gauge?


1) Turn on the digital coating thickness gauge
After pressing the ON key, the instrument will hear a beep, and the instrument number GO8100 will be displayed on the screen. After the parameter setting before the last shutdown is automatically restored, 0 will be displayed and the instrument will enter the standby state. The workpiece can be measured. The instrument will automatically shut down after a period of non-use.


2) Digital coating thickness gauge measurement
The instrument will automatically sense the measured substrate: the instrument will display Fe when it senses a magnetic substrate; it will display NFe if it senses a non-magnetic metal. Always keep the instrument vertical when measuring!


3) Zero calibration of digital coating thickness gauge
Press the probe vertically on the reference block in the state to be tested, then <╳.╳μm> will be displayed on the screen, and then press the "ZERO" key to perform zero calibration. During the above process, the probe has been pressed against the substrate, and the probe cannot be lifted until the screen displays (0 CAL). Repeat the zero calibration to get a better zero point.
Note: Because the material of the Fe sheet and Al sheet we provide is not exactly the same as the substrate of your company, that is, the zero position is different, so the scientific method is to perform zero calibration on the smooth substrate of your actual workpiece!


4) Two-point calibration of digital coating thickness gauge
4.1 Calibrate the zero position first. The method is the same as zero calibration.
4.2 Put the standard film block on the reference block and measure its value with an instrument. If the measured value on the display is different from the standard diaphragm, you can use ▲, ▼ to correct the reading to make it meet the standard. Calibration is complete and measurements can be started. Please lift the probe when using ▲, ▼ to correct the reading.
