Hach dissolved oxygen meter related to polarization analysis of dissolved oxygen electrode

The Hach Dissolved Oxygen Meter is suitable for water source monitoring in water plants, aquaculture farms, urban sewage treatment plants, environmental protection monitoring departments, beverage industries and scientific research institutions to measure dissolved oxygen in water bodies.

The electrode uses the original membrane head.
The performance of the electrode system is better. In addition to the traditional platinum cathode and silver anode, there is also a silver reference electrode, which greatly improves the stability and accuracy of the signal. The zero point is stable and the residual current drift is very small after long-term use, meeting the ppb level measurement requirements. Response speed Fast, built-in self-consumable electrode, which consumes the residual oxygen in the electrolyte by itself.

Polarization method of Hach dissolved oxygen meter electrode:

Connect the cable to the transmitter and the probe. The probe will begin to polarize after the transmitter is powered on.

The probe needs to be polarized under the following circumstances:

1. The first time the probe is used, it must be polarized for more than 6 hours;

2. Replace the membrane or electrolyte and polarize for more than 6 hours;

3. The transmitter is powered off, or the probe is disconnected from the cable.

Polarization time:

Polarization voltage:

When measuring high-concentration media (biochemical fermentation, wastewater treatment), the polarization voltage is -675mV. When measuring low concentration media (<500ppb), the polarization voltage is -500mV.

The non-polarized state of the electrode means that the probe is not in a polarized state, that is:

1. When replacing the electrolyte;

2. When replacing the membrane;

3. When disconnected from the transmitter or polarizer.

The Hach dissolved oxygen meter is mainly used for water source monitoring in water plants, aquaculture, urban sewage treatment plants, environmental protection monitoring departments, and universities to measure dissolved oxygen in water bodies. In trace measurements (μg/L), the instrument is mainly used Measurement of trace oxygen in the water outlet of a small boiler deaerator.
