Have you ever understood the measurement principle of the harmful gas detector?

The toxic and harmful gas detector is an instrument tool for gas leakage concentration detection, which mainly uses gas sensors to detect the types of gases present in the environment. A gas sensor is a sensor used to detect gas composition and content. It is small in size, light in weight, fast in response, and the characteristics of displaying multiple gas concentrations at the same time make it more convenient to use. It can meet the measurement needs of special occasions, such as gas concentration detection or leak detection in tunnels, pipelines, storage tanks and confined spaces.

Toxic and harmful gas detectors are the same as other analysis and testing instruments, they are measured by relative comparison method. It is generally believed that the definition of a gas sensor is based on the detection target, that is, the gas used to detect the gas composition and concentration of the sensor is called a gas sensor, regardless of whether it uses physical or chemical methods. For example, sensors that detect airflow are not considered gas sensors, but thermal conductivity gas analyzers are important gas sensors, although they sometimes use the general principle of detection.

The higher the gas concentration, the less the beam entering the infrared receiving gas chamber; the beam passing through the reference chamber is constant, and the beam entering the infrared receiving gas chamber is also constant. Therefore, the higher the concentration of the measured gas, the greater the difference in luminous flux through the measurement chamber and the reference chamber. The luminous flux difference is projected to the infrared receiving air chamber with the amplitude of a certain vibration period. The receiving air chamber is divided into two halves with a metal membrane a few microns thick. The chamber contains a large amount of the measured component gas, which can absorb all incident infrared light in the absorption wavelength range, so that the pulsating beam becomes . Periodic changes in temperature can be converted to pressure changes according to the gas equation, which are then detected by capacitive sensors. When zoomed in, the measured gas concentration is displayed.

Toxic and harmful gas detectors can detect hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen, sulfur dioxide, phosphine, ammonia, nitrogen dioxide, hydrogen cyanide, chlorine dioxide, ozone and combustible gases, and are widely used in on-site detection of petrochemical, coal, Metallurgy, chemical industry, municipal gas, environmental monitoring and other places. It can meet the measurement needs of special occasions; it can detect gas concentration or leak detection in tunnels, pipelines, storage tanks, confined spaces, etc.
