How a Brix Meter Works
The glucometer mainly uses the phenomenon of refraction when light enters another medium from one medium, and the ratio of the sine of the incident angle is a constant value, which is called the refractive index. Using the content of soluble substances in the sugar solution and the refractive index are proportional to the refractive index in ordinary environments, the refractive index of the sugar solution can be measured, so that the sugar meter/refractometer can calculate the concentration of sugar.
