How long does a combustible gas detector expect to last?

Gas leakage and explosion pose great risks to people's property, personal safety, and the environment, and various industries strictly control gas. A good way to detect gas leaks is to install combustible gas detectors, especially for flammable and explosive gases. Combustible gas detectors can quickly detect gas leaks and issue alarms, greatly improving operational safety.

The service life of a combustible gas detector is the service life of its internal electronic components. The service life of combustible gas detector sensors is generally around 2 years, and if well maintained, they can be used for 3-4 years.

If the service life of a combustible gas detector exceeds its rated lifespan, it should be replaced promptly. The service life of other electronic components of combustible gas detectors such as transformers, capacitors, and transistors is also limited. Therefore, in order to ensure safety, new combustible gas detectors must be replaced after their expiration date to prevent accidents from occurring.

In terms of use, organic waste gas can undergo chemical changes with elements such as sulfur. Combustible gas detectors should be avoided from working in environments with excessive sulfur during use.

Due to the longest service life of combustible gas sensors being about 3 years, more attention should be paid to their sensitivity in the second year when using combustible gas detectors. If the sensitivity does not meet the standard, it should be replaced as soon as possible to ensure safety.

The second part is the circuit board of the gas detector. From this perspective alone, generally reliable designs and circuits with sufficient materials can ensure a lifespan of 3-5 years for the body. Of course, we also refer to improper and non compliant storage and use such as normal use and non rough handling loss. Some portable gas detectors contain suction pumps and batteries, and can generally be used for about 2 years.

What factors should be considered before using a gas detector?
Before entering confined spaces and/or containers, measure the safety level of the factory, check if the work area is safe, and make appropriate scientific arrangements, such as equipping ventilation equipment.

If safety level measurement can be implemented correctly, then these two questions can be answered. If the container has been completely emptied, it still plays an important role in risk assessment regardless of whether there are pollutants or hazardous substances releasing gases.

When measuring factories and applying appropriate measurement methods, the safety level of the measuring factory should have professional knowledge. Similarly, only by relying on correct professional knowledge can the results be reliably evaluated; Proper training and preparation are also important.
