How long does it take to work?

1. Regularly calibrate gas detectors. Generally, after one and a half years of use, the accuracy will decrease and must be recalibrated at the factory. Do not attempt to damage the sensor for the sake of convenience.

2. The longest service life of a gas detector is 5 years, which does not mean that all gas detectors can reach 5 years. This is only possible when the gas environment is relatively mild and daily protection is done well, and after the service life, a new detector must be replaced.

3. The sensors used for detecting combustible gas concentration in gas detectors are mostly catalytic combustion sensors, and their service life is 3-5 years in ideal environments. In addition, the lifespan of gas detectors (including fixed gas alarms and portable gas alarms) sensors is closely related to the concentration they are exposed to.

4. The service life of electrochemical gas detectors is generally about 2 years. Two years later, it is necessary to test the performance of the instrument to determine whether the detector needs to be replaced. In addition to necessary sensor aging, the detector also needs to be calibrated. Calibration of instruments requires the use of corresponding standard gases.

The service life of a gas detector is not necessarily determined, which is closely related to the operating environment of the equipment. During use, it is necessary to timely protect and calibrate the gas alarm. Once problems arise, it is necessary to contact skilled personnel or manufacturers in a timely manner. If the sensor fails, it is necessary to replace it in a timely manner to avoid safety accidents.
