How much do you know about the steps of using a microscope?

1. During the experiment, the microscope should be placed on the table. The lens base should be about 6 to 7 cm away from the edge of the table, and the bottom light source switch should be turned on.

2. Turn the converter so that the low-magnification lens faces the light hole on the stage. Then look into the eyepiece with both eyes, adjust the intensity of the light source, raise the condenser, and adjust the iridescent aperture to the maximum to reflect the light into the mirror. At this time, the field of view will be bright.

3. Place the film to be observed on the stage so that the part to be observed is located in the center of the light hole.

4. Observe with low magnification first (objective 10×, eyepiece 10×). Before observation, first turn the coarse focusing screw to raise the stage and bring the objective lens gradually closer to the slice. Be careful not to let the objective lens touch the glass to prevent the lens from crushing the glass. And turn the coarse focus screw to slowly lower the stage, and soon you can see the magnified image of the material in the glass slide.

5. If the object image seen in the field of view does not meet the experimental requirements (the object image deviates from the field of view), slowly move the left and right ruler. When moving, you should pay attention to the fact that the direction of movement of the glass slide is exactly opposite to the direction of movement of the object image seen in the field of view. If the object image is not very clear, you can adjust the fine focus screw until the object image is clear.

6. If you further use a high-magnification objective lens for observation, you should move the part of the object image that needs to be magnified for observation to the center of the field of view before switching to a high-magnification objective lens. ). Generally, for a microscope with normal functions, the low-magnification objective lens and the high-magnification objective lens are basically parfocal. When observing clearly with the low-magnification objective lens, you should be able to see the object image by changing to the high-power objective lens, but the object image may not be very clear. You can turn the fine focus screw to adjust.

7. After switching to a high-power objective lens and seeing the object image clearly, you can adjust the aperture or condenser as needed to make the light meet the requirements. When you change the low-power objective lens to a high-power objective lens for observation, the field of view will become slightly darker, so you need to adjust the light. strong or weak).

8. After the observation is completed, the objective lens should be moved away from the light hole, and then the microscope should be restored. And check whether the parts are damaged (especially pay attention to check whether the objective lens is stained with water, if it is stained with water, wipe it with lens paper), and put it back after the inspection and treatment.
