How to Accurately Measure Voltage with a Multimeter

 

Bench multimeters are essential measurement tools in an engineer's daily work, capable of measuring multiple parameters such as current, voltage, resistance, and temperature. As bench multimeters are precision electronic instruments, it is recommended to carefully read the operation manual before use to reduce human-induced damage and better protect and utilize these tools.

 

Although the usage of bench multimeters differs somewhat from portable multimeters, the basic principles remain consistent: the red probe represents the positive pole, and the black probe represents the negative pole.

 

Mechanical Zero Adjustment: Always perform mechanical zero adjustment before using a bench multimeter.

Function and Range Selection: Select the corresponding function category and measurement range on the bench multimeter.

Probe Contact: Finally, use the red and black probes to contact the object under test.
