How to care and maintain the optical microscope
Dust falling into the surface of the dust-proof optical components not only affects the passage of light but also generates a large smudge after amplification by the optical system, which affects observation. Dust and sand falling into the mechanical parts will also increase the wear and tear and cause motion blockage, which is also very harmful. Pay attention to keep the microscope clean.
The moisture-proof optical lens will be easy to mould and fog. Mechanical parts are prone to rust when they are exposed to moisture. Microscope case should be placed in 1 to 2 bags of silica gel as a desiccant.
Avoid the heat expansion and contraction caused by the lens of the open glue and fall off. Therefore, the biological microscope should be placed in a dry, cool, dust-free and corrosion-free place. After use, wipe it clean immediately and cover it with a dustproof and breathable cover or put it in a case. When the microscope is unused, cover it with a plastic cover and store it in a dry place to prevent dust and mould. Store the objective lens and eyepiece in a container such as a desiccator, and prevent some desiccant.
Anti-corrosive microscope can not be put together with corrosive chemicals. Such as sulphuric acid, hydrochloric acid, strong alkali.
Mechanical system maintenance of sliding parts: regular application of some neutral grease paint and plastic surface cleaning: stubborn stains can be cleaned with soft detergent, it is recommended to use silicon cloth. Plastic parts: a soft cloth dipped in water can be cleaned. Note: Do not use organic solvents (such as alcohol, ether, thinner, etc.). Because it will corrode the machinery and paint, causing damage.
Optical system maintenance maintenance lens cleaning after use with a clean, soft cloth gently wipe the eyepiece and objective lens. Concentrator and reflector lenses should be wiped clean. There are more stubborn stains, can be used long-fibre degreasing cotton or clean fine cotton cloth dipped in a little dimethyl stupid or lens cleaning solution (3 parts of alcohol: 1 part of ether) wipe, and then wipe dry with a clean soft cloth or blow dry with a blowing ball.
