How to choose a fixed gas detector?

How to choose a fixed gas detector correctly is very necessary for personnel engaged in safety testing? Different production scenarios may have different combustible, toxic, and harmful organic gases. So choosing the correct fixed gas detector is very important. The Shenbei Technology Department will provide an introduction to some specific situations for your reference.

1. If methane and other less toxic alkanes are predominant, choosing an LEL detector is undoubtedly the most appropriate option. The principle of combustible gas detection is catalytic combustion, which is a very common detection principle. It is also very convenient for instrument calibration. Because this technology is relatively mature, domestically produced gas detectors can also meet user requirements

The following are recommendations for domestic and imported fixed gas detectors that have been highly praised by users: JL268D, JL269 leak detectors, ADY-1, HL-200 series users have also responded well. Import recommendation: Huarui FGM and SP series fixed gas detectors from the United States; MC-W combustible gas alarm device from Canadian BW Company; Honeywell's ImpulseX1 detector; COMCOS New Universe XP-3110 detector, XP-3160 pump type alarm device, XP-3140 leak detector; RAE Huarui miniEX portable combustible gas detector; Oldham EX2000 detector; Derg PAC EX2, X-am 2000 combustible gas alarm. If there are some toxic gases such as carbon monoxide, hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, oxygen, hydrogen, Phosphine and other gases, a portable single toxic gas detector or a portable multi gas detector should be preferred to ensure workers' * *. The toxic gas detector uses electrochemical principles for detection. Electrochemical gas detectors typically measure concentrations in ppm units. Note: When detecting these toxic gases, in addition to carbon monoxide and oxygen, it is recommended to consider other toxic gases other than domestically produced ones. It is recommended to use imported instruments. For imported products, it is recommended to use the BW single toxic gas alarm GAXT series; Honeywell ImpulseXP single detector; Industrial Scientific T40 detector; Odem TX2000 single detector; Derg Pac 5000, pac7000, pac III single poison gas alarm If there are more organic toxic and harmful gases, considering the low concentration that may cause personal poisoning, such as Aromatic hydrocarbon, halohydrocarbon, ammonia (amine), ether, alcohol, grease, etc., Photoionization detector should be selected instead of  LEL detector, because it may cause casualties. Import recommendations: Huarui PGM-7360 benzene detector, PGM-30 detector, PGM-7320TVOC detector, PGM-7340VOC detector from the United States, BW M5 detector from Canada, and ion organic matter detector from the UK.

If the gas types cover the above types of gases, choose a composite gas detector that requires the gas composition of the measured space to better configure the sensor instrument.
