The first point is that I think the first thing to look at when purchasing a pointer multimeter is the quality. A multimeter with good quality will generally not have any problems after being used for three to five years. If it is of poor quality, use it for three to five months. If it is light, the test lead will be disconnected. If it is heavy, it will not be able to adjust the ohm to zero or there will be minor faults such as poor contact. It is very troublesome to use. When purchasing a pointer multimeter, in addition to asking the merchant to measure some simple physical quantities, I have to hold it in my hand and weigh it. A good quality multimeter feels "heavy" in my hand, and a poor quality pointer multimeter feels light in my hand. It is continuous, and it can also be reflected in the workmanship and materials.
The second point is to buy some brands of pointer multimeters, because a good brand is the guarantee of quality. For example, MF-47 series pointer multimeters and MF500 multimeters are available for selection. The multimeter I use in my usual work is the MF470 pointer multimeter, which has been used for many years and is still used now.

For choosing a digital multimeter, in addition to considering the quality factors of the digital multimeter, I think the display accuracy of the multimeter should also be considered. We can choose the accuracy of the multimeter and the number of digits displayed according to our work needs. Generally, the display accuracy of a digital multimeter has three and a half digits and four digits. Two and a half digits, the more digits displayed, the higher the accuracy will be. In addition, the function and measurement range should be selected according to the needs. If you choose too many functions and you don't use these functions in your work, it will cause waste.
