1, The lifespan of gas detectors
The service life of a gas detector mainly depends on the sensor. Sensors used for detecting toxic gas concentrations and sensors used for detecting explosive concentrations of combustible gases. The sensors used to measure the concentration of toxic gases are mostly electrochemical sensors, with a service life of 2-3 years. The sensors used to detect the concentration of combustible gases are mostly catalytic combustion sensors, with a service life of 3-5 years.
2, How to make gas detectors last longer
Sometimes we may have improper operation or other reasons that make the gas detector not very sensitive. How should we maintain it,
1. Check the gas flow rate. Excessive or insufficient flow rate can have a significant impact on the results of the analyzer
2. Replace filter paper: Stop the air pump and drain the filter tank
3. Check for any air leaks in the pneumatic system. Whether the diaphragm of the sobbing pump is damaged, whether the sealing ring of the sampling probe is broken, whether the four-way valve and condensate are damaged, etc
4. Cleaning of sampling probe, unblocking of sampling hole pipeline
5. Check if the condenser is working properly, usually adjust the temperature within the range of 3 degrees Celsius. 6. Check the measuring chamber for dirt and clean it in a timely manner.
So, there is no single sensor that can detect all gases and meet all requirements. Sensors used for various gases and environments are also different. Confirm the type and concentration range of gases to be detected, determine the usage scenario, and then choose the gas detector you need.
