How to improve the service life of gas detectors
The composite gas detector can be equipped with multiple gas detection sensors required on one instrument, so it has the characteristics of small size, light weight, fast response, and simultaneous multi-gas concentration display. Compared with general gas detectors, It is also more convenient to use, and can be effectively used for the detection of many gases such as methane, ethane, propane, butane, alcohol, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, ethylene, acetylene, vinyl chloride, styrene, and acrylic acid.
For a composite gas detector, its lifespan mainly depends on its sensor. As we all know, it is impossible to have a sensor that can detect all gases and meet all requirements. Sensors used in various gases and various environments are also Different, it can be roughly divided into: sensors for detecting toxic gas concentrations and sensors for detecting explosive concentrations of combustible gases. Most of the sensors used to measure the concentration of toxic gases are electrochemical sensors, which work based on the principle of electrochemistry. The main factor that affects its life is the electrolyte. After 2 to 3 years, the electrolyte can no longer be consumed. It works normally, so the service life of the electrochemical sensor is 2 to 3 years. Most of the sensors used to detect the concentration of combustible gas are catalytic combustion sensors, which have a service life of 3 to 5 years.
In order to effectively improve the service life of the composite gas detector sensor, users should pay attention to its maintenance and maintenance during operation, among which:
1. Check the gas flow rate, usually 30/h, if the flow rate is too large or too small, it will have a great impact on the results of the analyzer
2. Replace the filter paper: stop the air pump and drain the filter tank
3. Check whether there is air leakage in the air system. Whether the sobbing pump diaphragm is damaged, whether the sealing ring of the sampling probe is broken, whether the four-way valve and condensing steam are damaged, etc.
4. Clean the sampling probe and unblock the sampling hole pipeline
5. Check whether the condenser works normally, usually the temperature is adjusted within 3 degrees Celsius
6. Check the measuring chamber to see if it is dirty and clean it in time.
