How to judge the quality of general capacitors with a digital multimeter
Digital multimeters generally have a capacitance measurement function. The area where F is written on the dial represents capacitance measurement. The symbol of capacitance is C, and the unit is Farad, which is represented by F. 1 Farad (F) = 1000 millifarads (mF) = 1000000 microfarads (µF) 1 microfarad (µF) = 1000 nanofarads (nF) = 1000000 picofarads (pF). How to use: First, turn the dial gear to the capacitance measurement position, select the appropriate range according to the size of the capacitance, insert the red plug of the multimeter into the Cx jack, and insert the black plug into the COM jack to measure the capacitance. The red and black plugs are connected to the two ends of the capacitor respectively. A normal capacitor will display the capacitance value, which is close to the value marked on the capacitor, which means that the capacitor is good. If the displayed value is very different, it means that the capacitor is damaged.
