How to maintain a Leica microscope?

Leica microscope has multiple and world-class technologies. As a pioneer and pioneer in the field of microsystems, Leica Optical Systems has won multiple honors. As a product of microsystems, Leica has always firmly occupied the markets of universities, research institutes, research institutions, large enterprises, multinational corporations, etc., serving fields such as steel, metallurgy, machinery, aerospace, automobiles, ships, instruments and meters, power, geology, petroleum, petrochemicals, ceramics, hospitals, life sciences, etc. Leica has won a large number of loyal users with its product performance and comprehensive after-sales service.

Leica microscope, as a product of microscopic systems, maintaining the cleanliness of optical components is crucial for ensuring good optical performance. Users should also regularly clean and maintain the instrument.

The use of dust covers is an important factor in ensuring that the microscope is in good mechanical and physical condition. If there are stains on the outer shell of the microscope, it can be cleaned with ethanol or soapy water (no other organic solvents are used for cleaning), but do not allow these cleaning solutions to seep into the inside of the microscope, causing short circuits or burning of electronic components inside the microscope.

Keep the microscope usage site dry. Although each Leica series microscope adopts a special anti mold treatment process, when the microscope works in high humidity environments for a long time, it is still easy to increase the probability of mold. Therefore, if the microscope has to work in these high humidity environments, it is recommended to use a dehumidifier.

Cleaning and maintenance of Leica microscope:
1. If there is dust and dirt on the optical surface and instrument, the dust should be blown away with a balloon or the dirt should be removed with a soft brush before wiping the surface.

2. The optical surface should be cleaned with lint free cotton cloth, lens paper, or cotton swabs soaked in specialized lens cleaning solution.

3. Avoid using too much solvent. Mirror wiping paper or cotton swabs should be moistened with the solvent appropriately, but do not let too much solvent penetrate the objective lens, causing a decrease in clarity and damage to the objective lens.

4. In a microscope, the surface of the objective lens is most susceptible to dust, dirt, and oil. When contrast, clarity, and fogging are found, it is necessary to carefully examine the condition of the eyepiece and the lens in front of the objective lens with a magnifying glass.

5. When the microscope is not in use, it should be covered with the dust cover provided by the instrument.
