How to maintain and use the coating thickness gauge
Coating thickness gauge, also known as coating thickness gauge, film thickness gauge, paint film thickness gauge, etc., is a commonly used non-destructive coating thickness measuring instrument. According to the instrument measurement principle, the instrument can be divided into: eddy current coating thickness gauge and magnetic induction coating thickness gauge. The instrument is a portable non-destructive measuring instrument. The Keqiang mc series coating thickness gauge adopts microelectronic technology and has the advantages of high precision, digital display, stable indication, low power consumption, simple and convenient operation, no correction knob, and single probe full range measurement. , small size, light weight and so on. The following Jining Keqiang Ultrasonic Testing Instrument Co., Ltd. will briefly introduce the maintenance and repair methods of mc series coating thickness gauges. I hope it will be helpful for you to use this instrument.
1. Precautions for instrument maintenance:
(1) The instrument should be protected from moisture, overheating and contact with corrosive gases and liquids such as acid and alkali.
(2) The instrument probe line is a relatively vulnerable part of the coating thickness gauge. Do not shake or pull the probe line during use.
(3) The instrument should be kept clean, placed in a dry environment, and try to avoid contact with liquids.
(4) The battery should be taken out if the instrument is not used for a long time to avoid battery leakage.
(5) If the measurement is abnormal, do the following:
a. Check whether the voltage is normal; whether the positive and negative electrodes of the battery are in good contact.
b. Whether the measurement method is appropriate.
c. Major failures are sent to the factory or the factory maintenance department for repair.
d. Users are not allowed to disassemble the instrument case at will.
(6) Countermeasures when the measurement error of the instrument is large:
a. Calibrate the instrument according to the instrument instruction manual.
b. Check whether the instrument probe is plugged in or worn out.
c. Detect whether the measuring workpiece is suitable for measurement with this instrument
d. The following are several factors to be considered to improve the measurement accuracy: measure the surface roughness of the workpiece; the strong magnetic field generated by various electrical equipment around will seriously interfere with the work of magnetic thickness measurement; clearly measure the attachment on the workpiece , to ensure that the probe is in direct contact with the surface of the covering layer; the pressure of the probe; during the measurement, the probe should be kept perpendicular to the surface of the sample; the deformation of the test piece; the average value of multiple measurements.
