How to measure AC voltage, DC voltage and resistance with a pointer multimeter

A pointer multimeter is a multifunctional and multi range measuring instrument. Generally, a multimeter can measure DC current, DC voltage, AC current, AC voltage, resistance, and audio level. Some can also measure AC current, capacitance, inductance, and some parameters of semiconductors.

Step 1: When measuring, turn the switch to the desired current level and connect the test pen in series with the circuit being tested.
The gear selection should ensure that the pointer is located at 2/3 of the full scale, resulting in the highest measurement accuracy. If you don't know the range of the measured current, you can first use a larger range to measure the approximate value, and then switch to the corresponding range for measurement.

Step 2: When measuring 5A, insert the red probe plug into the corresponding socket.

Step 3: When measuring 5A, turn the switch to place it on the 500mA DC current range.
Attention: When measuring, the red probe should be connected to the high potential point; It is strictly prohibited to use current blocking to measure voltage; To convert the range, the probe must be disconnected from the tested circuit first.

Measuring DC voltage with pointer multimeter
Step 1: When the measured DC voltage is between 10-1000V, turn the switch to the desired voltage range.

Step 2: When measuring the DC voltage between 1000-2500V, the switch should be turned to the 1000V DC position.

Step 3: When measuring, turn the switch to the desired voltage range and connect the test pen in parallel to the circuit being tested. If you don't know the range of the measured voltage, you can first use a larger limit to measure the approximate value, and then switch to the corresponding limit measurement.

Attention: When measuring, keep the pointer at 2/3 of the full scale for the highest measurement accuracy. If you do not know the range of the measured voltage, you can first use a higher limit to measure the approximate value, and then switch to the corresponding limit measurement. When measuring DC voltage, the black test pen should be connected to the low potential point, and the red test pen should be connected to the high potential point.

Measuring AC voltage with pointer multimeter
1, Measure AC voltage between 10-1000V and turn the switch to the desired voltage range

2, When measuring AC 2500V, the switch should be in the AC 1000V position, and the red probe plug should be plugged into the corresponding socket.

3, When measuring, turn the switch to the desired voltage level and connect the test pen in parallel to the circuit being tested. If you don't know the range of the measured voltage, you can first use a larger limit to measure the approximate value, and then switch to the corresponding limit measurement.

4, When measuring 10V AC voltage, due to the low voltage value, the scale is non-linear, and the data should be read according to the 10VAC scale (third scale line).
