How to measure current and conversion of digital clamp meter

Clamp meters can be changed to different ranges by switching gears on the changeover switch. However, it is not allowed to be operated with electricity when switching gears. Clamp meter general accuracy is not high, usually 2.5 ~ 5 level. In order to facilitate the use of the table, there are different ranges of switch for measuring different levels of current and voltage measurement function.

Clamp meter was initially used to measure AC current, but now the multimeter has the function it also has, can measure AC and DC voltage, current, capacitance, diode, transistor, resistance, temperature, frequency and so on.

A digital multimeter is a multi-purpose electronic measuring instrument, sometimes referred to as a multimeter, multi-meter, multi-meter, or tri-meter, which generally contains the functions of an ammeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, and so on. The main function is to measure voltage, resistance and current. Digital multimeter, as a modern multi-purpose electronic measuring instrument, is mainly used in the field of physical, electrical and electronic measurements.

Clamp Meter Measure Wire Resistance How to Measure

Part of the clamp-on ammeter is with a resistance test function, if you have a clamp-on ammeter on hand with this function, you can follow the steps below to measure.

Wire resistance measurement:

① Turn the switch to the appropriate range of resistance block.

② Keep the switch in the released state.

③ Connect the red pen to the Ω terminal and the black pen to the COM terminal.

④ red and black pens are connected to the two ends of the wire under test, measurement of the resistance of the wire in use, the line should be disconnected from the power supply, and the capacitor connected to the wire should be fully discharged before measurement.

Wire on-off test

① Turn the switch to 200Ω (or buzzer) block.

② The red and black pens are connected to the Ω end COM end.

③ If the resistance between the red and black pens is less than (50s25) Ω, the built-in buzzer beeps.
