How to measure current with a clamp meter? Clamp meter can measure DC current
① For DC voltage measurement, the switch is rotated to ACA200A block, and for AC voltage measurement, the switch is rotated to ACV750V block.
② Keep the switch in relaxed state.
③ The red pen is connected to the V/Ω terminal and the black pen is connected to the COM terminal.
④ The red and black pens are connected in parallel to the line under test.
1. Turn the rotary function switch to the appropriate current range.
2. Press button D to select DC current if required. The default is AC current.
3
. For DC measurement, wait for the display to stabilise, then press the Z button to zero the meter.
CAUTION
Before zeroing the meter, make sure the jaws are closed and there are no wires between the jaws. 4.
4. Press and hold the jaw switch to open the jaws and insert the wire to be measured into the jaws. 5.
5. Close the jaws and centre the wire with the alignment marks on the jaws.
6. Check the reading on the LCD display.
To avoid electric shock or personal injury, currents flowing in opposite directions will cancel each other out. Place only one wire in the jaws at a time.
