How to measure PH value with PH meter and acid meter
PH meter is a common analytical instrument, which is widely used in agriculture, environmental protection and industry. Let's learn how to use PH meter to measure PH value and the matters needing attention when using it.
1, PH meter ph meter measuring method:
(1) Take off the pen cap
(2) Press the on/off key, and the machine will display operation.
(3) putting the ph meter into the liquid to be tested
(4) Shake the ph meter gently to ensure the bubbles in it escape, so that they can fully contact with the solution, and do not collide with the cup wall.
(5) The ph meter will display the value immediately, and put the pen into the liquid to be measured until the value is stable, and the correct value will be displayed within 30 seconds (special: it is normal for the pH meter to fluctuate or be unstable).
(6) press the hold key to lock the value, which can be recorded and read outside the solution to be tested, and continue to press the hold key to unlock it.
(7) Press the on/off key to turn off the ph meter.
(8) Slightly flick the excess water on the PH meter test pen, rinse it with distilled water or deionized water, and cover the pen cap to measure the temperature. In the test mode, the temperature value and ph value are displayed on the LCD panel synchronously, but not in the calibration mode, and the value defaults to Celsius temperature.
2, PH meter acidity meter matters needing attention:
(1) Please avoid high temperature and direct light.
(2) Do not touch the sensor. If you do, please rinse it with buffer solution with ph of 7.
(3) Please cover the pen cap after each use.
(4) Do not test in high temperature liquid for too long.
(5) Wash the sensor after it is used in the solution with high TDS value.
(6) If the measuring range of ph solution is very different, it needs to be washed in the buffer solution with ph of 7.
(7) In order to optimize performance, use the best measurement accuracy at least once a month.
(8) Although it is unnecessary, it will be more accurate if the ph pen is calibrated before each use.
(9) Rinse with buffer solution with ph of 7 after each use.
(10) When using, be sure to shake out the bubbles inside.
(11) If the sensor is scratched, it needs to be replaced immediately.
(12) If the reading is slow or the response is slow, the battery or sensor of the ph meter needs to be replaced. If the ph pen is used and calibrated continuously, the performance will be affected. If the pH pen operates in a suitable environment, press the temp/cal key. When the CAL flashes, press the temp/cal and hold keys for 2 seconds at the same time to restart the calibration, and then it can be calibrated again.
