How to measure resistance with the ohm block of a multimeter
If the requirements for measuring resistance accuracy are not high, we can use the ohm block of a multimeter to measure. Specific resistance measurement steps:
1. Multimeter electric block zero adjustment
Set the selector switch to RX100 or RXlk, short-circuit the two test leads, adjust the zero adjustment knob of the ohm gear, and make the needle point to the zero position at the right end of the resistance scale.
2. Measure the resistance value of the resistor
In order to improve the accuracy of the measured resistance value, the range should be selected according to the nominal value of the measured resistance. When measuring, the indicated value of the pointer should be within the arc range of 20% to 80% from the full scale as much as possible.
Use the multimeter pen to touch the two pins of the resistance under test respectively for measurement. Correctly read the reading of the resistance pointed to by the ohm block, and then multiply it by the magnification (the RX100 block should be multiplied by 100, the KXlk block should be multiplied by 1000,...) to get the resistance value of the measured resistance.
3. Things to pay attention to when measuring
During the test, be careful not to touch the conductive parts at both ends of the test lead and the resistor with your hands, so as to avoid the human body resistance from affecting the accuracy of the measurement. If the resistance is on the circuit board, at least one head of the measured resistance should be soldered away from the circuit to avoid the influence on the measurement.
