First, set the digital multimeter to the maximum resistance level of 200M. If the maximum resistance level of the multimeter is less than 200M, it is best not to use it to judge the leakage of electrical products. The resistance gear is too small, and the slight leakage of electrical products cannot be displayed. If possible, it is recommended to use an insulation resistance meter to measure it better.

The two test pens are respectively connected to the metal shell of the electrical product and any end other than the non-grounded end of the power plug of the product. If the multimeter shows 1, it can be concluded that the internal components of the electrical product are in good contact with the metal shell. If the multimeter display is not 1, but any other number is displayed, it means that the internal components of the product are poorly insulated from the shell, and leakage will occur. This electrical product requires repair or replacement.
