How to Test Air Conditioning Noise

Oct 25, 2022

1. Listen to the sound of the compressor running

Turn on the power and listen carefully to see if the compressor of the air conditioner is running normally, whether there is any abnormal sound, whether there is any noise in the operation of the fan, whether the noise is too loud, etc. During the operation of the air conditioner, under normal circumstances, the vibration is slight and the noise is small, generally below 50DB. If the vibration and noise are too large, the possible reasons are: foam pads, etc., which can increase the vibration and noise of the air conditioner during operation. Especially when it is just starting up and shutting down.

2. Check all parts of the machine

Carefully observe the working conditions of each component of the air conditioner, focusing on the three parts of the refrigeration system, electrical system, and air system, to determine whether they work normally. At the same time, to judge whether the refrigeration oil is leaking, you can also use a clean soft cloth or soft paper to wipe the welding part of the pipeline and the connection of the joint, and observe whether there is oil pollution to judge whether there is leakage.

3. Measuring instrument

In order to accurately judge the nature and location of the fault, instruments and meters are often used to check and measure the performance parameters and status of the air conditioner. For example, use a leak detector to check whether there is refrigerant leakage; use a multimeter to measure whether the power supply voltage, the ground current of each terminal and the running current meet the requirements, and the air conditioner controlled by a computer should also measure whether the potential of each control point is normal, etc.
