How to use a digital clamp meter?
1. When using a high-voltage clamp meter, attention should be paid to the voltage level of the clamp ammeter, and it is strictly prohibited to use a low-voltage clamp meter to measure the current of the high-voltage circuit.
When measuring with a high-voltage clamp gauge, it should be operated by two people, and non duty personnel should also fill out a work order for measurement;
When measuring, insulated gloves should be worn, standing on insulated pads, and not touching other equipment to prevent short circuits or grounding.
2. When observing the timing of the watch, special attention should be paid to maintaining the distance between the head and the charged part. The distance between any part of the human body and the charged body should not be less than the entire length of the clamp shaped watch.
3. When measuring on a high-voltage circuit, it is forbidden to use wires to connect a clamp ammeter to another meter for measurement.
When measuring the current of each phase of high-voltage cables, the distance between cable heads should be at least 300mm, and the insulation should be good. The measurement can only be carried out when it is deemed convenient.
4. When measuring the current of low-voltage fuses or horizontally arranged low-voltage busbars, the fuses or busbars of each phase should be protected and isolated with insulating materials before measurement to prevent phase to phase short circuits.
5. When a cable is grounded, measurement is strictly prohibited.
Prevent the occurrence of ground breakdown and explosion due to low insulation level of cable heads, which may endanger personal safety.
6. After the clamp ammeter measurement is completed, pull the switch to the range position to avoid accidental overcurrent during the next use; And it should be stored indoors in a dry place.
Usage of digital clamp table:
(1) Mechanical zeroing is required before measurement
(2) Choose the appropriate range, first choose the large range, then choose the small range or estimate based on the nameplate value.
(3) When measuring with the minimum range and the reading is not yet clear, the tested wire can be wound a few times. The number of turns should be based on the number of turns in the center of the clamp, and the reading=indicated value x range/full deviation x turns
(4) After the measurement is completed, the conversion switch should be placed at the maximum range.
(5) When measuring, the measured wire should be placed in the center of the clamp and the clamp should be tightly closed to reduce errors.
Precautions for digital clamp gauge
(1) The voltage of the tested circuit should be lower than the rated voltage of the clamp meter.
(2) When measuring the current of high-voltage lines, it is necessary to wear insulated gloves, insulated shoes, and stand on insulated pads.
(3) The jaws should be tightly closed and the range cannot be changed with electricity.
